Feis Nova Scotia will be running on July 31, 2011 at St. Mary’s University Tower Gymnasium (920 Tower Road)!  Feis Nova Scotia was started in 1994 by a group of volunteers who wanted to create a local opportunity for the growing community of Irish dancers to participate in Feiseanna.  Originally the feis was run every four years but now, after much success, we are running our event every two years.  We hope that you will join us once again for this uniquely Atlantic Canadian feis!  Please check back often for new updates, and follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

UPDATES:

  • Our stage schedule is now available
  • The ceili is officially SOLD OUT! Thank you to everyone who supported the event!
  • Faery Reel has been added to our list of vendors!
  • We will be waiving the late fee because of the delays caused by the postal strike. Deadline for registrations is still July 10.
  • Two perpetual trophies will be awarded, in competitions TRC15 and TRC99. These trophies are not allowed to leave the venue, and will remain with the committee following the feis. Recipients will be given a substitute award to take away with them and will be allowed to take photos with the perpetual trophies at the event. Their names and school will also be added to the engravings on the trophies.
  •  Please keep in mind that the canteen will be accepting CASH ONLY. However, there are ATMs within a short walking distance on the university campus.
  • You are invited to write a greeting to your dancer in our souvenir program. Please see the Greetings page for more information!
  • The vendors at this year’s feis are: Heart of the Highlands, Tip Top Toes, and Jo-Anne Made Jewelry. Please see the Vendors page to view their websites.
  • NEW THIS YEAR! Feis Nova Scotia will be awarding sashes to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in all prelim and open champ competitions on our brand new podium.
  • Please note: outside food is not permitted in the venue.  A variety of food and drinks will be available for sale including fruits and vegetables, tea and coffee, hamburgers and hot dogs, and sandwiches.
